IT REQUIREMENTS, TROUBLESHOOTINGS AND KNOWN ISSUES

Requirements for Video Lectures and Data Animations

Video playback in the Lab is supported and tested on major operating systems and web browsers. However, there are some known issues:

  • Safari on macOS: May be unable to play videos due to limitations with external sources.
  • Linux: Some distributions may experience full-screen playback issues with Firefox and Chromium.
  • Cookies & Ad-Blockers: To view videos, cookies must be enabled on your device. Ad-blockers can sometimes interfere with cookies; if you encounter problems, please try disabling your ad-blocker for our site.

Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing technical issues with the Lab, please try the following steps in order. If one step does not resolve the issue, proceed to the next.

  • Hard Refresh: Reload the page without using the cache by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+R (on Windows/Linux) or CMD+SHIFT+R (on Mac).
  • Re-authenticate: Log out of your account and then log back in.
  • Clear Browser Data: Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then restart the browser.
  • Update Browser: Ensure your web browser is updated to the latest stable version.
  • Reboot: Restart your computer.
